We clearly have not come to the party. It’s unacceptable
Ndoro saga likely to be a talking point
Ajax Cape Town coach Muhsin Ertugral has warned Orlando Pirates to be prepared for another tough battle.
The Buccaneers will host the Urban Warriors in a Nedbank Cup last 32 clash at Orlando on Saturday (8.15pm).
This is a fixture that will most certainly be overshadowed yet again by the Tendai Ndoro PSL registration dispute as the defiant Ajax have indicated that they would continue fielding the striker.
Pirates are still reeling from their shock 3-0 league defeat at the hands of the struggling Mother City outfit a week ago when Ndoro played a starring role.
“After the Pirates match, we had a two-week break, so we have to go out and play good football,” said Ertugral, whose side drew 1-1 with Polokwane City at the weekend.
“We know how difficult Pirates are at home. They are a top team and we know they are very offensive and they are a strong side, but we also know where their weaknesses are,” he said, adding that he would continue to field Ndoro despite the ongoing matter regarding the striker’s eligibility.
Safa has now taken charge for an arbitration process after the PSL appealed the Dispute Resolution Chamber’s ruling that cleared the former Zimbabwean international to play.
The 32-year-old is thought to be ineligible to play because Fifa rules state that a player can be registered by three clubs in a season, but can only play official matches for two.
Ndoro has played for Pirates, Saudi Arabian team Al Faisaly and Ajax this season, which is in contravention of the rules.
Muhsin is expected to welcome back captain Mosa Lebusa, Brandon Petersen and Yannick Zakri. The trio missed the match against City because of injuries.
Lebusa and Zakri scored in the win over Pirates.
