M1 Paris St Germain v Angers: PSG have a chance to stretch their runaway lead in Ligue 1 against Angers, who are hovering above the relegation places. PSG are unbeaten in seven previous meetings between the two clubs, winning six and drawing one.

M2 Juventus v Atalanta: Atalanta have won only twice in 40 previous clashes with Juventus, who can use this catchup game to stretch their one-point lead at the top of the Serie A standings to four after 28 games and set about securing the title yet again.

M3 Besiktas v Bayern Munich: Bayern lead Besiktas 5-0 after first leg. In Champions League history no team has ever overturned five-goal deficit. Bayern have won five Champions League games in a row.

M4 Cape Town City v Orlando Pirates: Pirates have had slightly the better of City in their three previous meetings, winning a league clash 1-0 in September, while both games in the 2016-17 campaign ended in draws. Pirates will be lifted by their 3-1 Soweto Derby victory over Kaizer Chiefs in their last outing, plus the added bonus of 10 days rest between games.

M5 FC Lausanne v FC Basel: Lausanne Sport have lost all of their last six games against Basle, who were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League last week but went down fighting against Manchester City.

M6 Barcelona v Chelsea: The two teams drew 1-1 in London in first leg where Lionel Messi broke his duck against Chelsea at the ninth attempt. Barça’s home record against English clubs is 19 wins, 11 draws and just two losses. They are eyeing an 11th straight Champions League quarter-final.
