Bontle dons party hat on Mzansi Magic’s reality show
Stellar start to the year for Revlon ambassador
TV presenter Bontle Modiselle is having a great start to this year.
The newly appointed Revlon Live Boldly campaign ambassador has clinched a role as a judge on Mzansi Magic’s new reality TV show The Ultimate House Party, which airs on the pay channel tonight.
Modiselle is the only female judge alongside comedian Tol A$$ Mo (Mongezi Mahlangu) and online radio star Carpo More. The show is hosted by Dash Mkhathini. The curvy star told Sowetan that she was picked
by the producers of the show and has been shooting for about two weeks.
“We shoot six days a week. It has been hectic but it’s so much fun. I mean, who doesn’t want to party for a living?” she asked.
“The production company contacted me and said I fit their character and [told me] everything they needed me to do as a judge. Each judge is allocated a certain responsibility and a certain focal point,” she added.
The show, which is sponsored by Castle Lite, follows 16 contestants who will battle it out to host the most epic house party. Each week they will go head-to-head in the hope of impressing the judges. “They need to host an ultimate house party [and show] ... how creative they can get, how far they can stretch their resources and finances,” she said.
The star of the movie Hear Me Move is one of four specially selected ambassadors who will join the likes of US actress Halle Berry and Bonang Matheba as brand representatives for Revlon. Actress Michelle Moselekae, TV and radio personality Luthando “LootLove” Shosha as well as model and fashion blogger Kim Jayde Robinson are the other Revlon Live Boldly ambassadors. “The direction that they have taken is to celebrate every kind of woman, like the four of us were called the live bold brigade and it’s not just about beauty, it’s about the people that we are and the lifestyle that we choose and how relatable we are to the everyday South African woman,” she said.
“It’s insane and I am excited about what has happened so far.”
