Matheba, ex-buddy bare fangs

Blogger threatens to reveal TV darling’s bosom secrets

- By Patience Bambalele

A serious catfight between television darling Bonang Matheba and blogger Phil Mphela has turned ugly.

The two, who were once friends, trended on Twitter on Tuesday night after exchanging bitter unpleasantaries.

The trouble was sparked by a comment Mphela made after Matheba announced that she would be suing Sunday World for R10-million for defamation after a story the tabloid ran on Sunday claiming that she appeared in court for a tax matter. Sunday World stands by its story. Mphela then wrote that Matheba should not fight with journalists and that her power was waning.

Matheba fired the first salvo: “You’re a parasite. A scumbag. A disgusting example of the filth I have to deal with on a daily basis. You know nothing about the industry you claim to work in ... Die slow! Your mess ends today!”

Mphela retaliated by threatening to reveal details of what happened in Sun City back in 2012. “You are a liar, manipulator and many more ugly things I could get into but I have never gone there. Wanna do this? Let’s go right back to Sun City 2012. You have crossed that line twice now. I tried to be above it but maybe my being reserved makes you think you have given me the spell your minions seems to be under. Your delusion of grandeur is getting to your head. Someone lied to you and told you that [you’re a] powerful girl. Ignored your vitriol all day and now once again you crossing a line.”

Matheba fought back: “O tlo nyela meisie kind (You will sh*t girl)! Nkare (It’s like) you didn’t hear me the first time round! I’ve ignored your vitriol for three years! Shame, a few tweets got you hot & heavy? “Welcome to it ...”

CSA, a company that represent Matheba, didn’t respond to e-mailed questions. Mphela explained that he did not want to comment further..
