Festival for entire family
Annual event brings young, old together
Lira, Mafikizolo, Mi Casa, Oliver Mtukudzi, Selaelo Selota, Kunle Ayo and Candy Tsamandebele will headline the second annual Nubian Music Festival in December.
Taking place on the long weekend of December 14 to 17, the festival will once again stage family friendly entertainment at Hartbeespoort Dam’s Eagle Waters Wildlife Resort.
Also included in the starstudded line-up for the main festival on December 16 will be Gugu Shezi, Donald, Afrotraction and Encore.
Revellers can also enjoy chalet and camp accommodation with access to pools, fishing facilities, water sports as well as the lion and cheetah parks, zoo and the elephant sanctuary.
When the night falls, they will be treated to a picnic movie under the stars.
To wrap up the weekend festivities in style, on December 17, Nubian Music Festival package ticket holders will be treated to a champagne breakfast on a boat.
In addition, while the parents will be enjoying all the entertainment, the younger members of the family will be catered for in the play zones to keep them busy.
“Come and enjoy the stunning views of the Hartbeespoort Dam and the Magaliesberg mountain range which offers beautiful scenery and breathtaking views,” Mpho Mathope, Nubian Music Festival creator, teases.
General access tickets cost R300 and VIP tickets will set you back R1 250 at Computicket. The festival will also feature musical legends Caiphus Semenya and Tsepo Tshola.
Last year, the festival launched with a stellar line-up of Selota, Ringo Madlingozi, Tumi Tladi, Bhudaza, Wanda Baloyi, Femi Koya, Semenya and Tshola during the same long weekend.
