Killer rapist got what he deserves

-

I welcome the sentence handed down to Lungisani Mdlolo. Posthumously, big up to late judge George Maluleke.

Mdlolo is one criminal whose crime spree affected my neighbourhood. He kept Pimville and Klipspruit residents on tenterhooks. We couldn’t get him out of our minds.

Our conversations revolved around him. He doesn’t deserve to walk freely ever again. To prove he can’t be rehabilitated, he escaped and went back to his life of crime. Someone like that doesn’t value lives of others.

Anyone who doesn’t mind invading people’s homes and attack them in a place where they are supposed to be safe, is extremely dangerous.

Crime is spiraling out of control in our country and justice system needs to do its work and put scumbags like Mdlolo behind bars for the rest of their natural lives.

The fact that he committed his crimes virtually across all Pimville zones and Klipspruit, means it was a matter of time before he killed someone again. I can’t think of worst nightmare than being accosted by criminal outside your yard, who promptly follows you into your yard and proceeds to rob all your family members.

Disappointingly for SAPS, it took boyfriend of one of his victims to track him via phone movements. If it wasn’t for him, Mdlolo would still be walking freely and unleashing his reign of terror on defenceless people.

Note: On Tuesday’s edition we erroneously referred to judge George Maluleke as John Maluleka. We regret the error.
