* Mamelodi Sundowns’ will put defender Ricardo Nascimento through a fitness test ahead of tomorrow night’s African Champions League clash against Lobi Stars of Nigeria at Atteridgev­ille. He missed the loss to Cape Town City on Tuesday.

* The green light has been given for video review to be used at the 2019 Women’s World Cup. The organising committee for FIFA competitio­ns, which oversees all world championsh­ips, has made the recommenda­tion following recent seminars in Abu Dhabi and Doha, offering an educationa­l program for Women’s World Cup referees.

* Real Madrid’s Brazilian teenage sensation Vinicius faces two months on the sidelines after he had to go off in Tuesday’s Champions League loss to Ajax Amsterdam with a knee injury. The clubs have since said he ruptured ligaments and booked him off for eight weeks.

* The Chelsea board have consulted under-pressure manager Maurizio Sarri over the club’s pre-season plans despite fears he may not survive into the next campaign. The club are planning a trip to Japan at the end of the season and Sarri was unhappy last year after flying to Australia for a tour within four days of taking over.

* The Premier League has told Tottenham Hotspur that it will not permit them to move into their new stadium this season unless it is ready for their next home game. They are insisting that Tottenham play all five of their remaining home games at their new ground or stay at Wembley for the rest of the season.
