TS Sporting lead reinforce rush

Ndebele looks at some of the eye-catching done deals in the second-tier as the January transfer window has just rolled pass its halfway mark.

TS Sporting

Sporting have made seven signings. Former Orlando Pirates ace Sifiso Myeni and Jemondre Dickens, who’s on loan from Baroka, headline the list of the new arrivals.

Frank Motebejane (from Golden Arrows), Kaonga Chawanangw­a (from Mozambique’s Costa do Sol), Shadrack Kobedi (on loan from Blom Celtic), Madoda Motha (from Baberwa) and Thulani Cele (on loan from AmaZulu) are other Abantu Bomthetho’s new recruits.

JDR Stars

The league’s newbies from Tshwane have strengthen­ed their squad with Nkosinathi Ononogbu Onyedikach­i, who joined from Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhand­ila. Sibusiso Mbonani

has also linked-up with JDR from TTM.

Richards Bay

The Natal Rich Boyz have secured the signature of Khanyisa Mayo from strugglers Royal Eagles. Other Richards Bay’s new signings are Sduduzo Dlamini (from AmaZulu), Ian Chikowa and Msekeli Mvala, (both ex-Pretoria University), alongside Simphiwe Mbatha, who previously played for Real Kings.

Uthongathi

The Cane Cutters raised eyebrows by snatching retired exBafana Bafana striker Siyabonga Nomvethe, forcing him out of retirement. Another exBafana star in Thanduyise Khuboni has also been signed by Uthongathi.

Tshakhuma

The ambitious Venda side has signed wayward attacking midfielder Masibusane Zongo.

Kings

Zairon Abrahams has joined the KZN side on a six-month contract, from TS Galaxy.

Steenberg

Joining them from Eagles, the rookies have snapped up former Maritzburg United defender David Booysen, who’s the younger brother of AmaZulu’s Mario Booysen.

Eagles

In replacing their top-scorer Mayo, Eagles managed to get former Celtic attacker Mpho Maruping from Sporting.

AmaTuks

Pretoria University have bolstered their roster with former SA U20 keeper Dumisani Msibi from Richards Bay.
