First prize-winners score on the way to Fortune Finders R1m
WITH a cool R1-million up for grabs, it is not surprising that the Sunday Times Fortune Finder competition produced dozens of instant prize-winners after just one week.
By noon on Friday, 70 lucky readers had won some of the R14-million in instant prizes in South Africa’s biggest Q&A treasure hunt competition.
Prizes include 130 000 cellphone airtime vouchers, 10 000 Woolworths vouchers, 10 000 Kalahari vouchers, 1 500 data bundles, 4 000 Mr Price Home vouchers and 300 iPad minis.
All you have to do to win is read the Sunday Times every weekend, spot the Fortune Finder icon scattered on stories through the newspaper — from news to business, opinion and sport. There are eight each week.
Once you have those articles in hand, register on the mobi site or dedicated telephone number (details at the bottom of this article) by providing your cellphone number and e-mail address.
You will then be able to sign in to the Fortune Finder competition where you will be given three multiple-choice questions to answer. Remember, you need to have your stories on hand to spot the answers. Every 42nd correct entry scores an instant prize.
You are allowed two entries per cellphone number a week, but you have to enter four consecutive times to qualify for one entry in the R1-million draw.
By playing successfully every weekend, you will earn six entries for the cash prize draw. The more times you enter, the better your chances of bagging that R1-million. The winner of the lucky draw will be announced in the Sunday Times on November 3.
It is the easiest way to wipe out that bank overdraft, settle school fees or start planning that festive-season beach holiday.
Winners in last weekend’s launch round include Sizwe Majavu of Pretoria; Audrey McGregor of Sea Point, Cape Town; Suresh Govind of Effingham, KwaZulu-Natal; and Chaja Wentel Super of Edenvale, east of Johannesburg.
Alethea Titus of Stellenbosch, who walked off with a R200 Kalahari voucher, said it was easy to enter the competition, and she was delighted with her prize.
