PRETTY AS A PICTURE

Enchanting. That’s the first word that comes to mind when looking at the work of Cape Town illustrator Jane Heinrichs, who has just opened an online shop selling her fine-art prints for children (and the young at heart).

Great care has been taken in the rendering of the works of Jane’s original watercolour paintings, which have been professionally scanned and then printed on Somerset Velvet archival paper. Whimsy and imagination abound in her subject matter, which includes flying elephants, reading porcupines, cuddling owls, mermaids and giraffes that reach for the stars.

“Children deserve beautiful fine art and they deserve to believe that the world is a wonderful, magical place,” says Jane. We couldn’t agree more.
