Emmah Molawa September 8 1982 Bloemfontein, 22h53 Sun sign: Virgo Moon sign: Taurus Rising sign:Taurus Do you strive to be perfect in every way and then beat yourself up because you fail? Do you have a plan for when you finally discover that your plan won’t work? You’re not, and never will be, perfect. Once you’re free of that silly myth, you can have a fabulous life — full of adventure, mistakes, love and success. You haven’t had the easiest life, but if you’d lighten up on yourself and remind yourself every day how extraordinary you are, you’ll begin to appreciate your own value. The rest of this year’s energies are teaching you to recognise and use your magical powers. By 2015, you’ll be ready to start something new. It’s important that you work on your stubbornness. Change is good.

CANCER (June 21 – Jul 22)

The goddess of love, beauty and treats has come to stay. Make her welcome, helping her understand how honoured you are to have her in your home. She will reward you handsomely. Even so, try not to abuse her offerings. The fact that your list of admirers has expanded does not give you licence to abuse the old ones. Be nice. Use Saturday’s new moon to rethink your plans. Then stand aside and let them in.

LEO (Jul 23 – Aug 22)

The ladder of success is beckoning, with something extra special on the menu from Thursday. Keep your eyes wide open. Something unexpected may cause you to change your mind about the entire exercise and even think about moving on. Remember, you take yourself wherever you go so you might as well deal with the dramas now while you have the confidence. You’re embarking on a delightful new cycle.

VIRGO (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

All work and no play makes Virgo a lonely sausage without a love life. Do you really expect that wonderful person you’ve invented to sit at home and wait for you while you slave on into the night? Relationships need as much attention as money does. It isn’t necessary for you to work non-stop just to survive. Besides, your fantastic instincts have just kicked into an even higher gear. Let them guide you.

LIBRA (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

An open mind is what’s needed here. Although you believe you know what other people need — and you may even be right — people generally like to make such decisions for themselves. Do some work on your own issues. If the family is too demanding, tell them. And if clients or bosses are giving too little, say so. Your success is in your own hands. If you concentrate on your needs, you’ll be helping others too.

SCORPIO (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

Don’t let a disappointing relationship (love or business) leave you feeling like a failure. If relationships fail, the universe is simply telling you it’s time to change — and move on. As we all know, change is probably the most difficult thing to accomplish. It’s so much easier to sit around feeling sorry for ourselves. Don’t do it. Stand up, give yourself a hug, and take the next step. Saturday’s new moon opens the doors.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

Just because the people around you are determined to descend into defeatism and misery, doesn’t mean you have permission to join them. In fact, with your natural optimism, it is probably part of your job to drag them back up again. Even so, keep some time for yourself. For a change, the possibility of true commitment appeals to you. So take the plunge. Explore every aspect of your multidimensional soul.

CAPRICORN (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

Yes, everyone knows how peculiar you are about accepting help. Yet, in spite of that, it’s being offered in spades. So do something about that dastardly pride, and open the door. This is no time to mess about, being the biggest deal on the block. After all, as you probably remember, no one (except you) cares if you fail. But group success is exciting for everyone. Try becoming a team player. It’ll be good for you.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

Some of your old buddies may flake out on you when you need them most. In which case, give them a call, and find out how they’re doing. After all, you can be a somewhat neglectful friend at times — and people take offence at being ignored for too long. Not that it’s necessarily your fault. You run out of time when you’re always trying to save the planet. Even so, you’re part of the planet too. Save yourself first.

PISCES (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

Just for this week (and maybe next week), get yourself to the office at dawn, and don’t leave until the sun is peacefully snoring. This is your week to turn your dreams of success into realities. And you don’t want to waste a moment. So let’s see. Business presentations, meetings, conferences — schedule the lot for a week that is supporting you all the way. And stay healthy. Drink celery juice.

ARIES (Mar 21 – Apr 19)

Never been good with authority figures, have you? Here’s your chance to take charge without alienating everyone around you. Even so, tension is your new middle name. Try to maintain your cool. And then look again at the power struggles building up around you. Not everyone has your courage. So be nice to the fearful — and they’ll be nice to you. Saturday’s new moon will point you in a fascinating new direction.

TAURUS (Apr 20 – May 20)

You have influence now. Use it well, and you’ll have a faithful team on hand to follow you up your success ladder. Get your mind off the boring details and work with the bigger picture. Your long-term pension plan and the need for a safe home base are no longer the issue. It’s time to discover that security is a concept in your head. Meantime, try for some snap decisions. Be brave. The planets are on your side.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)

Think of a gas stove, and turn it up to the max. Your week has the same energy — with enough power to ignite your personal universe, or burn the house down. You’ll need focus and controlled desire to get what you want now. But get it you will. So quick, jot down all your wishes, and work on them one at a time. While you’re at it, invest — in yourself, your ideas, your friends, your universe. Watch it glow.
