Meditation for healing the world
The Durban chapter of the Brahama Kumaris offers reprieve from the daily grind by hosting an evening dedicated to radiating peace, love and care to the world. The event is open to those familiar and unfamiliar with mediation. A gathering of heroes
The alumni of Sastri College will host a “heroes evening”, inviting all former students and staff. With KwaZulu-Natal Judge President Chiman Patel, Judge Thumba Pillay and former Constitutional Court Justice Zak Yacoob and others at the helm, the evening will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of former president Nelson Mandela’s address at the Rivonia Trial with a performance titled A
Requiem to Mandela. A request is made for students to submit pen portraits for publication in a brochure on Sastri College alumni

Clear out some extra closet space and help those in need with the Robin Hood Foundation’s free tea. By filling a box with quality second-hand clothing, baby toiletries or non-perishable food items and bringing it along, you can get access to a day of networking and being inspired by like-minded people. There is limited room, however, with spots being open to the first 70 women
