BRIDGET Johnson is joining advertising agency M&C Saatchi Abel Johannesburg as an executive creative partner.
Mike Abel, chief executive partner of the group, said Johnson “has a proven track record of developing both highly effective work for clients and work that has achieved creative global recognition”.
For her part, Johnson said: “It’s getting increasingly difficult to do what we do well, so if you’re going to try, best you have a special team by your side from the get-go.” KHAYA Ntozini, MD of Old Mutual’s personal finance segment, is to become MD of the investment company’s Mass Foundation Cluster, and will be replaced by Karabo Morule.
Ntozini succeeds Bongani Madikiza, who has resigned to join a subsidiary of Brimstone, one of Old Mutual’s black business partners.
Ntozini has a B-Compt degree from Unisa and has completed an advanced management programme at the University of the Witwatersrand.
He also took the general management programme at Harvard in the US.
He has more than 20 years’ service at Old Mutual in sales, distribution and operations.
Ntozini’s successor, Morule, who is the general manager of corporate customer solutions, is an actuary with a business science degree.
Morule, a fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa, started her career as an analyst before moving to London, where she gained valuable international investor experience with JPMorgan.
She joined Old Mutual in 2010 and has held several management positions in the organisation since then. THE Jasco Group has appointed Craig Unsworth MD of Jasco Electrical Manufacturers.
Unsworth is a chartered company secretary who has filled various financial roles in various industries, including manufacturing and insurance. He joined Jasco Electrical Manufacturers (formerly Special Cables) in 1997 as an assistant to the financial manager. He was appointed financial director in 2007.
“Having a grip on the numbers is key. It is vital to understand the financial health of the organisation in order to create the appropriate strategy for the business,” he said.
