HOW OFTEN DO YOU TRAVEL?

-

I travel at least twice a year. My last holiday was spent in Dubai. I went to support the Blitzboks while experiencing the best of what Dubai had to offer. It was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. YOUR EARLIEST MEMORY OF TRAVELLING ABROAD? Madagascar was my first overseas trip when I was in Grade 7 and it was incredible. The best part was travelling to a little island called Nosy Be. It was my first experience of snorkelling in turquoise waters surrounded by the most beautiful tropical fish. But the most amazing experience was seeing several shooting stars while sitting on the beach at midnight. It was simply magical. I felt blessed, safe and so special. I wished on all of those stars that night . . . and many of them are coming true. WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR A PERFECT HOLIDAY? It’s always nice to have a good budget. You should be able to do all the things you’ve wanted to do whilst there, and not be too concerned about the pennies. FAVOURITE HOLIDAY DESTINATION? Mauritius. That particular holiday was all about stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing adventure. BEST HOLIDAY EVER? My favourite city would have to be Dubai. It’s my kind of place but I’m happy to visit only during their winter! My best experience of Dubai was probably the Burj Khalifa [at 829.8m, the tallest skyscraper in the world] and a yacht cruise we took which parked just in front of the Burj Al Arab [hotel]. It was spectacular because we got to see about 30 hot-air balloons ascend into the air for a special festival which was taking place at the time. It was stunning. Dubai has an energy about it that is quite amazing.
