MELANIE van Heerden has been appointed to the executive committee of City Lodge Hotel Group.
Van Heerden has a BCom (law) and an LLB from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
Apart from a short hiatus, she has been group company secretary and legal adviser since 2004.

ADVERTISING agency Grey Africa has appointed Yonda Siwisa client service account director and Georgina Smither senior strategic planner.
Siwisa has worked in client service in various industries, including fast-moving consumer goods, financial services, media and business. Her experience includes project management, pitching for new business and campaign management.
She has more than six years of industry experience and is studying marketing management.
Smither has been in the industry as a senior strategic planner for three years. Before her present role at Grey, she was involved in the market research industry.
She has worked at Ogilvy Africa, where her clients included Barclays, British American Tobacco, Unicef, Omo and South African Breweries.
Smither has a strong understanding of finance and fast-moving consumer goods in Africa. VUNANI Fund Managers has appointed Letshego Rankin executive director and head of business development.
Rankin has 20 years’ industry experience and joins VFM from Stanlib Asset Management where she was business manager in the CEO’s office. From 2012 to 2015 she was a senior client fund manager responsible for strategic market research and developing prospects.
Rankin holds a BCom in business management and industrial psychology from North-West University and an MBA from Unisa. OTIS Tshabalala has been appointed chief operating officer and executive director of Delta Property Fund.
He is a graduate of the University of Cape Town’s property development programme and is a certified commercial property practitioner. He has more than 24 years’ experience in the commercial property sector, with more than 12 years spent in the property finance space. He is part of the team that grew Delta from 20 properties at listing to its present portfolio of 115 assets.
