Power struggle has the whiff of fast food
MEANWHILE in the Northern Cape, a power struggle rages between premier Sylvia Lucas and ANC provincial secretary Zamani Saul. The two are in the race to become the provincial party chair, a post left vacant after John Block was convicted of fraud.
It was heartening to read that Lucas denied that her faction used “dirty money” to buy votes ahead of the elective conference.
Hogarth was worried that she did not categorically state whether she was open to using her government-issued credit card to buy delegates KFC and Wimpy takeaways as she had done for others when she first took office.
