Cyclists take to the streets of this Brazilian city as part of a performance created by Japanese flower artist Azuma Makoto. This week, a fleet of 30 bicycles covered in blooms was pedalled up Paulista Avenue, with the riders handing blooms to drivers stuck in the traffic on one of the city’s busiest and longest avenues. The city itself, though not the capital, is Brazil’s vibrant financial centre and one of the world’s most populous cities.
