Extra-special adviser

THE markets took a knock when news broke that Mr Gigabyte had appointed nationalisation guru Chris Malikane as his special adviser.

Malikane made things worse when he told Business Times that he stood by his views that the state should nationalise mines, banks and insurance companies.

But White Monopoly Capital will be happy to know that the minister has another adviser: his wife. Mrs Gigabyte was quoted by a local magazine as saying: “I tell Malusi, ‘Baby you must never play with people’s money.’ ”

And judging by her lifestyle, she is not hostile to capitalists.
