What does that mean for travellers? Well, fans of the film who’re keen to have the ultimate time of your life, take note: the Mountain Lake Lodge in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia, US, where the movie was made, will be reopening as Kellerman's Mountain House to host special weekends this year to celebrate the anniversary.

These will entail a film-location tour, a movie screening, a scavenger hunt and, of course, lots of dancing. It’s possible you’ll also get to carry a watermelon.

The weekends — June 23 to 25; July 28 to 30; August 25 to 27; and September 15 to 17 — will end with a big professional dance performance.
