Repo sale offers bang for the buck

-

THE next Park Village Auctions commercial vehicle auction is to take place on May 25 and will showcase a large collection of bank-repossessed trucks, trailers, earth-moving and agricultural equipment.

Commenting on the newvehicle sales statistics reported by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa last month, PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn said that the sharp fall in aggregate year-on-year sales was indicative of a market that was preparing for uncertain times.

“Buyers will exercise prudence and actively seek out ways to get the most bang for their buck,” said Augustyn. He said he expected a good showing at the auction offering “an attractive alternative for acquiring affordable, quality second-hand vehicles and equipment”.

Buyers across the spectrum could expect to find rigid trucks and truck tractors from manufacturers such as Freightliner, Hino, International, Isuzu, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Fuso, Nissan, Scania, Tata, Toyota Dyna, Volvo as well as various MAN TGA and TGS models on offer.

There would also be a selection of trailers and earth-moving equipment on the block, comprising flatdeck link trailers, SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf, Afrit and Motor Trail flat decks, side tippers, Tautliner trailers, skidsteer loaders, excavators and backhoe loaders.

Viewing would take place on Wednesday May 24 from 10am to 4pm at PVA’s truck yard, which can be found at the Johannesburg Expo Centre.

The auction will follow on Thursday May 25 at 10.30am. Take note of the web reference: 12990.
