Refiloe Nkoane, a Strategic Brand Management and Social Media student, shows us how to style things up this season with Witchery’s luxe essentials

How would you describe your own style aesthetic? My style mostly leans towards street wear. I love sneakers and oversized jackets. My look is mostly comfortable and versatile. I am inspired by how fashion allows me to express myself through clothes. What is your earliest style memory? When I was 14, I dressed up for a concert as Rihanna from her ‘We Found Love’ video. The look included wearing a floral bralette, platforms and gold chains. How has your style evolved over the years? I used to be more experimental, playing around with a number of styles and accessories. Now I’m comfortable in a more relaxed and effortless look. One of the key offerings from Witchery is luxe essentials. How will you be wearing it this season? I will be incorporating my favourite pieces from Witchery into my off-duty style with knit-dressing and warm winter textures like suede. I will also experiment by layering different items, something which is central in pulling this look off as seen at Zadig & Voltaire’s Fall 2017 runway collection. This season I will also be combining my street-wear favourites with a few luxe essentials from Witchery in a contrast of pastels and darker shades. What items from the Witchery collection are on your must-have list? I love the grey poncho because it can be worn both casually and dressed up. Then there is the cream trench and the knee-high boots, which are both stylish and sophisticated. From the accessories I love the watch, which brings in a minimalist element. Can you share any styling tips when it comes to this trend? Never be afraid to pile on the layers, especially the knits which will keep you warm. Do something different with your trench coat or jacket like wearing it slightly off the shoulders. One can also bring character to a simple look by wearing socks with heels. —
