Karabo: ritual claim

The man accused of murdering Karabo Mokoena‚ 22, who was found burnt beyond recognition in Lyndhurst on April 28‚ now claims she committed suicide.

This week, during a bail hearing, Sandile Mantsoe also denied allegations by the investigating officer that before the murder he and Mokoena had performed a blood ritual to help his business prosper. Detectives say Mantsoe told them he later killed Mokoena because his business was jinxed.

The case was postponed to Friday for a ruling on the bail application.
