SHORT LEARNING PROGRAMMES: RISK MANAGEMENT Further your personal developmen­t by enrolling for a Short Learning Programme (SLP) in risk management offered by the Unisa Centre for Business Management. Choose from the following SLPs in risk management: Course in Fundamenta­ls of Banking and Risk Management (72176) – (2 modules) The purpose of this course is to provide students interested in banking and/or risk management with a fundamenta­l knowledge of these management discipline­s. Assessed at NQF level 5. Programme in Risk Management (75949) – (7 modules) Risk management has emerged as one of the major management discipline­s in a business environmen­t. The purpose of the programme is to provide students with a fundamenta­l knowledge to enable them to manage the risks an organisati­on faces. Students will acquire knowledge and understand­ing of a variety of discipline­s that will add value in the effective management of risk. Assessed at NQF level 6. Short Course in Applied Risk Management (76929) – (1 module) The purpose of portfolio based this short learning programme is to expose students to a practical research-related approach to risk management and to apply their knowledge on risk management. Students accredited with this course are able to understand how to approach and research risk management solutionst­hat are necessary in modern organisati­ons to ensure a proactive approach to manage risks. Assessed at NQF level 7. Advanced Programme in Risk Management (76789) – (5 modules) The purpose of this Advanced Programme in Risk Management is to give students an advanced understand­ing, knowledge and competenci­es necessary to apply the principles of risk management in an organisati­on. The programme is intended to empower students to acquire knowledge, skills, attitudes and values required to operate responsibl­y within the field of Risk Management. Assessed at NQF level 8.
