Young party to party

The EFF will celebrate its fourth anniversary on Wednesday in the ANC heartland of KwaZulu-Natal.

The party was established in 2013 with former ANC Youth League president Julius Malema elected leader. It is the third-largest political party in South Africa, having won 6.3% of the votes in the 2014 general elections. In last year’s local government elections the EFF became a kingmaker, helping the DA win three metros.

The party said its celebrations were part of a programme towards the 2019 elections.
