On parade

The pipes and drums of the Cape Field Artillery lead the regiment’s birthday parade in Cape Town yesterday. The regiment, one of the oldest active artillery regiments in the world, was established 160 years ago on August 26 1857. It exercised its freedom of the city to march with bayonets fixed and swords drawn. It will hold a church parade today.
