Seventy days of strife

The 54th national conference of the ANC is due to begin 10 weeks from today, meaning we can look forward to 70 days of name-calling, legal action, threats and probably worse.

The faction that was crushed in voting that took place after the Eastern Cape chair-throwing fracas left their seats empty is getting things under way by giving Luthuli House until tomorrow to set aside last weekend’s provincial conference, “failing which we shall approach the court for review”.
