Romantic relations

Arthur Mafokate was romantically linked to former kwaito star turned gospel singer Queen Sesoko in the ’90s. She was the lead singer of the group Abashante, who were signed to Mafokate’s label, 999. The pair have a daughter together.

The music boss was then involved in an on-again, off-again relationship with Chomee, another singer signed to his label.

In 2015 Mafokate introduced music fans to his new protégé, Cici. At the time he was romantically linked to Chomee.

By 2016 the new “It girl” at 999, Cici, had scooped two Metro FM awards, for best R&B single and best styled video.
