Bid to break stalemate
Parliament’s efforts to resolve a looming social grants crisis continue this week when the spotlight turns to President Jacob Zuma’s interministerial committee.
The committee, chaired by Zuma, has been called to a meeting by the standing committee on public accounts at which it is expected to table a plan to resolve the impasse between the South African Social Security Agency and the South African Post Office. The committee includes Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini and Finance Minister Malusi Gigaba. THE ONE TO WATCH
