Nuclear in news again

South Africa’s much-contested nuclear new build plan moves centre stage again in parliament on Tuesday when the energy portfolio committee meets with the Nuclear Energy Corporation and its entities.

The strong Russian links of newly appointed Energy Minister David Mahlobo, coupled with his experience in charge of South Africa’s secret service, have set red lights flashing for those worried about indications of a secret Russian nuclear deal by the Zuma administration, which experts have said South Africa cannot afford.
