The fateful conference

On May 10

Jason and Susan Rohde began WhatsApping about the Spier conference in July, where Rohde’s ex-mistress, Jolene Alterskye, would be a delegate.

Susan said: “I know you’re afraid for us to be together at the conference. But I know for a fact once that has happened we will all be a lot more free mentally. It’s still a few months away and we will all be calmer then.” Ten days later, she said: “I suggest you make sure you have a room with me. I will pay.” By June 6, the couple were still arguing about Susan’s attendance at the conference. After telling Rohde to book her a ticket, he replied: “What the hell? Have u completely lost your mind?”

Susan said: “Book my ticket. I want that f**king bitch to see me and leave me alone. I’m going to go there and cut that bitch’s face.”

On July 14

She told Rohde: “You have betrayed me so many times now you expect me to be completely calm about this trip.”
