A clause we can all vote for
Christmas came early for parliamentarians this week when some MPs found themselves sitting next to Ms Clause in the National Assembly. Hogarth might have confused ANC MP Beverley Abrahams for an economic freedom fighter in her red frock and heels, had she not swapped the traditional beret or hard hat for a Santa hat.
It’s not uncommon to see a few folks dressed head-totoe in red in the house — but it is very confusing when they hail from the ANC.
