INDIA IN THE CAPE

-

India House is a dreamy stone villa in the Bastiaanskloof valley, part of the Cape Floral Kingdom’s Boland Mountain Complex. It’s set on a 2500ha private nature reserve along the lovely Bainskloof Pass, a 90-minute drive from Cape Town.

Completely hidden from the road and surrounded by mountains, the house has three en-suite bedrooms, a state-of-theart kitchen, a conversation-inviting, open-plan living space and a long pool.

Its name comes from its blue front door, imported from Gujarat, but its real magic is its isolation. Dipping yourself in the surrounding rivers and laying in the sunshine here, you feel like no-one else exists in the world — just you, your friends and a few naughty baboons. R5 200 p/n.
