The size in square metres of the high-res LED screen that will wrap around the outside of a luxury hotel in New York’s Times Square.

Coming next year, Marriot Edition Hotels will be part of the new, 40-storey development called 20TimesSquare, at 701 Seventh Avenue on the corner of 47th Street. It will also include retail space.

The hotel will have 452 rooms plus four levels of public space, a performance venue and a fitness centre — but its most unique feature is perhaps the gigantic wrap-around LED screen, which will be used for digital advertising. Built to handle the next generation of video content, the screen will offer a quality about 16 times better than full HD.
