THE IMPERSONAL TOUCH
One probably should not expect much in the way of warmth and friendly greetings when checking in at The First World Hotel in the Genting Highlands in Malaysia. With 7 351 rooms, it is the world’s largest hotel — at least until the 10 000-room Abraj Kudai in Saudi Arabia opens its doors. Rates at the First World reportedly start as low as $12 a night. While that says much about the economies of scale, it would be interesting to find out if paying 12 bucks a night got you a room with a view of the rainforest, as promised on the hotel website.
Just imagine the queues at the buffet.
