Seelan Moonsamy has joined law firm Baker McKenzie Johannesbu­rg as a tax consultant. He was previously a tax manager at another South African firm where he advised on the full range of issues related to indirect tax.

He started his career in tax at the South African Revenue Service before joining one of the big four audit firms. Godfrey Nti, the CEO of the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa, is the new chairman of the chief executives committee of the global Financial Planning Standards Board.

Nti will work with the CEOs from the FPSB’s other 25 member organisati­ons to shape issues and make recommenda­tions. The National Student Financial Aid Scheme has appointed Vuyokazi Dwane human resources executive.

She has a bachelor of social science degree in psychology and an MBA.

She has been an HR practition­er for the past 22 years, becoming a director and executive in the field 10 years ago. Financial services company Stonehage Fleming has appointed Vincent Zwelibanzi Mntambo a nonexecuti­ve board member in South Africa.

Mntambo has an LLM from Yale and an LLB from NorthWest University. A former lecturer, he is director and chairman of Main Street 333, GRW Holdings and Moabi Capital.
