Signs do not suggest a promising start to varsity year
Congratulations to all matriculants who made the criteria for university admission. But the omens for a good start to the academic year are not good.
A president who has promised free tertiary education, and the EFF asking all and sundry to report to university campuses, are a recipe for chaos.
Student riots are not good for our country; they hold back progress.
One can only hope that sanity will prevail and the varsities will be left to get on with teaching.
