The poor excuse for looting

Now that Baba kaDuduzane is officially a lame-duck president, his enemies are dancing on his grave. This week Uncle Gweezy joined the chorus of those celebrating No 1’s departure from the so-called “revolutionary house” on Sauer Street.

Officiating on Friday at a wreath-laying ceremony at the Oliver Tambo memorial in Benoni, he boasted about McBuffalo’s wealth to the hundreds of people who arrived at the grave of the former ANC president.

“We have a president who has money, who’s wealthy, who will not be tempted to steal . . . he is the president of the ANC. He is wealthy, he is rich. If he steals we will ask him, ‘Why do you steal, because you have enough?’ ”

Poor Mantashe must be relieved he will no longer have to defend Duduzane and his father at Luthuli House every Monday morning.
