Have cake and tweet it too
When people are used to mediocrity, they accept anything. This was the case this week when Chris Hani municipality in the Eastern Cape celebrated the ANC’s birthday. A supplier donated a cake that looked like one spectacular mess. Social media users took turns making fun of it. But Bongiwe van Heerden, the official tasked with sourcing the cake, said: “We did see the commentary on social media but there is really nothing we can do about it. We had a cake and we had a successful cake-cutting ceremony and we were pleased with the turnout and our NEC guests.”
