Auctions to feature a wide variety of stock

-

● WH Auctions will start the year with two auctions. Between its Johannesburg and Cape Town sites more than 400 lots are on offer.

“There was a large intake of stock over the festive period and the upcoming auctions will have a wide variety of assets to choose from,” says Martin Dibowitz, who heads WH Auctions’ recently opened Cape Town branch.

The Cape Town auction will include passenger and commercial vehicles, ranging from latemodel, high-end executive vehicles to small

LDVs, including a Porsche Boxster S and a

Porsche Panamera, he says.

It will also include a large number of repossessed, accident-damaged and non-running vehicles from one of the financial institutions.

“Over and above this, there will be a fleet of rigid dropside trucks, refrigerated trucks and volume vans. We have also managed to source six personnel carriers with seating capacities ranging from 20 to 45 people, and two 35-seater buses. These units are in good condition and have just come off fleet. A selection of long-distance trucks and trailers, including tautliners and flat decks, will also be available.”

Forklifts and self-drive cherry pickers will be among the items on offer, as will small plant, including skid steer loaders, rough terrain forklifts, TLBs, compressors and generators.

Dibowitz says the Johannesburg auction will feature more construction and earth-moving equipment, with a large quantity of dumpers, excavators, graders, rollers, TLBs, dozers and tractors. A complete fleet of trucks and trailers will also be on the auction block

He stresses that WH will offer clients who are unable to attend either of the auctions the use of its webcast auction system, which allows bidders to participate in live auctions on their PCs or phones while at another venue or even out of the country.

The Cape Town auction will be held on Tuesday at 10.30am at WH Park, 17 Dacres Avenue, Epping 2, Cape Town. The auction offerings may be viewed between 9am and 4.30pm on Monday.

The Johannesburg auction will be held on Thursday at 10.30am at WH Midrand, 578 16th Road, Randjespark, Midrand.

The vehicles and equipment to be auctioned may be viewed between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Wednesday.
