The average number of bricks that the world’s Legoland theme parks use to build their dioramas — Lego replicas of landmarks in the areas surrounding the parks.

Merlin, the UK company behind the parks, has announced it will open Legoland New York in 2020. Geared to families, it will feature lands, rides, and shows based on Lego characters. It will also have a hotel.

Currently the US has two Legoland parks, in California and Florida. There are others in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

As is tradition at all the parks, Legoland NY will feature replicas of local landmarks in its Miniland area. This will likely include highly detailed Lego versions of Times Square and the Statue of Liberty.
