STRANGE but TRUE

-

In 1988, an amateur archaeologist found a steamship buried under a cornfield in Kansas, US. The Steamboat Arabia had sunk in in 1856 in the Missouri River,9km west of Kansas City. In later years, the river changed course and the steamer was left buried. The items recovered are now in a museum in Kansas, the largest single collection of pre-Civil War artifacts in the world.
