Can read, can jog, can’t sing much

-

Hogarth would like to congratulate McBuffalo on becoming No 1, giving South Africa a welcome relief from The Msholozi Show. President McBuffalo has been out and about, to the delight of Capetonians, jogging and shopping at a bookstore. Hogarth is a little concerned that South African politics is about to become somewhat drab under a president who keeps fit, reads books, has difficulty holding a tune and doesn’t make up strange words. We also need to get used to having just one first lady and not having first sons who capture the state and shout at their father’s opponents at public events. But nobody will miss uBaba ka Duduzane more than Juju’s red army. They were only able to hold up proceedings in parliament for a few minutes on the day of McBuffalo’s election, before stomping off to search for gossip to announce on Twitter.
