VEGANISM ON THE RISE
Vegans reject all forms of animal exploitation and don’t consume products of animal origin, including dairy and eggs. With the growing number of vegans, there has been an increase in vegan restaurants and vegan dishes on menus.
Col’Cacchio, known for its thin-base wood-fired pizzas, has developed a range of vegan pizza offerings. I liked the sound of a “spiroco”, a lettuce, beetroot, carrot, sesame and pumpkin seed, lentil, avo and coconut flake pizza, and the “amitose” for dessert — a cashew cream, caramel pineapple, orangeflavoured crumble and coconut shavings.
