Visa Sub-Saharan Africa has made some senior appointments. Prenolan Naidoo, pictured right, has been appointed a director and is part of the Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa team, and Brandon Mncube has been appointed marketing director: digital for sub-Saharan Africa.

Naidoo joins the Visa team from Nedbank, where he was a senior business analyst. He has more than a decade of retail banking experience.

Mncube, right, joins Visa from PepsiCo Africa.

He has more than 12 years’ experience in digital marketing from both the agency and client side. Mncube has worked in banking, fastmoving consumer goods and technology brands.

Jackie Midlane has been appointed practice group leader for banking and finance at Norton Rose Fulbright. Midlane, a banking and finance lawyer, focuses on financial institutions, energy, telecoms and mining. Her expertise spans project finance, acquisition finance, syndicated lending, preference share finance and trade finance.

Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr has appointed Thabile Fuhrmann chairwoman.

She succeeds Attie Pretorius.

Fuhrmann joined CDH as a director in January 2012 and has more than 20 years’ experience in commercial and insolvency dispute litigation, in both the public and private sectors.
