Welding tools for power station go under the hammer

Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Africa has mandated GoIndustry DoveBid SA to dispose of surplus welding machinery used in the building of boilers for the Medupi and Kusile power stations, says John Taylor, operations director at GoIndustry DoveBid.

The assets include a Pema Membrane Panel Welding production line and a Schwarze Robitec Membrane Tube wall bender.

“These assets are integral in the manufacture of the boiler tube assembly associated with large power station boilers.

“The auction is on March 1 and will include cranes, containers, workshop equipment, vehicles, tractors and trailers.”
