Mcebisi Jonas has been part of the unemployment stats since uBaba kaD dismissed him from the deputy finance minister post last year. His name has been associated with a number of senior positions, including replacing Tom Moyane as SARS commissioner, but none has materialised so far. However, he has friends in higher places, and one of them is trying to convince the HR department at Luthuli House to find Jonas a job.
