Trucks, trailers and yellow metal ready for the taking
Wide variety of vehicles to go under the hammer
● Park Village Auctions have secured a bevy of quality trucks, trailers, and yellow metal to go on the block on Thursday.
This follows a hugely successful auction in which assets from a national haulage concern sold out in record time just more than two weeks ago.
LeRoy Augustyn says the attendance and prices fetched at the previous auction is evidence that the market recognises PVA as a trusted source of reliable, affordable used commercial vehicles.
“There is no doubt that the demand for low-mileage second-hand commercial vehicles is growing despite the forecast improvements to the lending rate, the rand’s buoyancy and increases in the purchasing manager’s index,” Augustyn said.
“We achieved fantastic prices which buyers reported as realistic and competitive. The auction was well attended, and the speed at which assets were sold gives testimony to the fact that bidders know they can acquire quality vehicles stemming from bank repossessions and a variety of genuine liquidation matters.”
In keeping with what bidders have come to expect, Augustyn says that the inventory comprises a wide variety of truck tractors, yellow metal, “rigids” and a few miscellaneous assets.
Under the banner of rigid trucks and truck tractors, bidders can expect to find assets from manufacturers such as Freightliner, Hino, International, Isuzu, Iveco, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi Fuso, Nissan, Scania, Tata, Toyota Dyna, Volvo as well as various MAN TGA and TGS models.
Trailers and earth-moving equipment include flat-deck link trailers, SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf, Afrit and Motor Trail flat decks, side tippers, Tautliner trailers, skidsteer loaders, excavators and backhoe loaders.
Stand-out assets include a case grader, a Caterpillar backhoe loader, and Bell articulated dump trucks.
The auction will start at 10.30am at Park Village Auctions’ Truck Yard, Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec Showgrounds
