Saweetie — High Maintenance

Disclaimer: I love female rappers. I especially love them when they have an unapologetic attitude, a great aesthetic and catchy music. Newcomer Saweetie has earned tons of online love because of her track ICY GRL (which samples the beat of fellow rapper Khia’s dirty 2002 classic ’My Neck, My Back’). Now Saweetie finally releases her debut EP, and it’s highly quotable and doesn’t disappoint.

Jeremy Loops - Critical As Water

After a commercially successful, acclaimed and record-breaking debut, the muso, above, returns with his follow-up — and it’s gorgeous.

It’s dreamy, has stunning melodies and was produced by Will Hicks, who has worked with Ed Sheeran. It’s another chart-topper.

Meshell Ndegeocello — Ventriloquism

The muso with a huge cult following once again reminds her fans why they adore her so much. The album is an 11-track covers record and is Ndegeocello’s take on songs by artists such as Al. B Sure!, Prince, TLC, Sade and Janet Jackson. Pearl Boshomane Tsotetsi
