Better dress warm for court

There was a time when the Nkandla Crooner’s supporters would unleash their imiMkhovu (zombies) to make noise under the guise of “forums” for a decision to be adopted by the ANC national executive committee. Now things have changed. After the NEC banned ANC regalia at court when uBaba kaDuduzane appears on corruption charges on Friday, a statement pledging support for him was issued in the name of the party’s former KwaZuluNatal chairman, Sihle Zikalala. Following widespread condemnation of the statement, Zikalala distanced himself, saying he had not issued it. uBaba kaD was right: it’s not so warm outside the ANC.
