Odd bedfellows in Belgium too

The Freedom Front Plus is much closer to the EFF than either party might care to admit, and not just acronymically. Both favour inflammatory rhetoric and both have dodgy friends. This week the FF+ sent leader Pieter Groenewald to Belgium, where he bonded with Vlaams Belang Jongeren, the youth league of the Flemish Interest party. Previously known as Vlaams Blok, the organisation had to rebrand itself in 2004 after a court ruled that its discriminatory policies broke anti-racism laws. So now it has a new name but its acronym remains VB.
